Kodak updated most of their digital camera lineup. The first camera (in an otherwise unremarkable group) is the awkwardly named EasyShare Z8612 IS, which has these features:

EasyShare Z8612 IS

  • 8.1 effective Megapixel CCD
  • F2.8-4.8, 12X optical zoom lens, equivalent to 36 - 432 mm
  • Optical image stabilization
  • 2.5" LCD display (no viewfinder of any kind)
  • Full manual controls
  • Auto scene selection, face detection, Perfect Touch image enhancement features
  • Records VGA quality video at 15 frames/second
  • Can use AA or lithium-ion rechargeable batteries
  • Ships in March for $249
