This powerful high-definition engine executes a vast number of calculations in a short period of time and enables the Sanyo Xacti CG65 digital camera to realize image processing functions such as real-time MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 compression and noise reduction. With MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format, the DMX-CGT65 allows the recorded video to be uploaded onto websites as well as taking a six-million-pixel still image. The sound system for DMX-CGT65 digital camcorder also performs well with the stereo sound of 48kHz sampling in 16 bit compressed with AAC system.

The Xacti CG65 incorporates a 1/2.5 inch CCD with 6.37 Megapixels (total). Using 9-pixel image mixing technology, it captures low-noise images at 9x sensitivity. Sanyo’s original algorithm utilizes a pixel-interpolation filter to convert images from 6.0 Megapixels into the recorded equivalent of 10 Megapixels (3670 x 2760 pixels). Images can be printed at up to A3 size with superb precision, and specific parts of an image can be enlarged for detailed printing. The Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG65’s high-performance 5x optical zoom lens features a maximum aperture of f/3.5
